How to Lose Weight By Eating the Right Foods?

The challenge of any weight loss program is finding the right foods that are effective in weight loss. You should never starve yourself if you want to lose weight. In fact, by skipping meals, you actually put yourself at more risk for gaining weight because your body thinks you are starving it. When the body detects this starvation threat, it will actually slow down its metabolism and you will burn less and store more fat. So the key is to find the right kinds of foods that can help you lose weight and use them in a regular meal schedule.

You must first find foods that take longer for insulin to break down, in other word, foods that can help you lose weight. When you ingest food, the pancreas secretes insulin in order to absorb the carbohydrates from it into the bloodstream. Foods with what is known as a high glycemic index are absorbed rapidly causing the blood sugar level to increase. If your body does not use all of the blood sugar for energy, it gets stored as fat for use in the future. This storage of fat is how your body protects against future starvation. However the problem is that the body does not convert fat into energy quite as easily as it stores it. You want to look for foods that take longer for absorption into the bloodstream so that energy input is slower and the body can burn it as it goes.

  1. i’ve only been on this program for a week but i feel full of energy. i’ve also been on every other diet under the sun but this one is giving me new hope. i think my metabolisim is messed up from years of dieting and since this seems sensible and healthy i’m willing to give it all i’ve got. there are some things puzzling me such as the low-fat food category. for example if i eat low-fat cottage cheese or low-fat grated parmasean cheese what does it count as as protein or carb Also can I have anything like swiss miss cocoa which is fat free and sugar free. i would also like to know from anyone how long it took to see results. I do feel better and feel like i lost inches but no weight has dropped yet. i guess i need some encouragement so anyone want to e-mail me please do so at jr (barex@ix.netcom.com) new york- thank you, jr

  2. After being on this CLEANSE (not a diet) for 21days, I discovered that I lost inches in my abdomen (I did not measure before and after but my jeans fit looser around the abdomen). Also, my cravings for sweets diminished. It absolutely does work. Make sure you do the salt cleanse in the a.m. and to the Smooth Move tea at night before going to bed. For me, the tea worked approximately eight hours after taking it. The only thing I hated was the salt water flush. It’s really does the body good but be prepared to go to the toilet a lot of times within an hour to do number two.
